CIP cleaning system in microbrewery

In the past, traditional cleaning methods required dismantling the pipes, cleaning them by hand with a brush, and rinsing off the dirt with water. This cleaning method is labor-intensive, time-consuming and difficult to achieve sterility requirements.
At present, the CIP in-situ cleaning method is widely used. Its advantage is that it does not need to disassemble the pipes and equipment, and the cleaning liquid is connected with the equipment and pipes to be cleaned by fixed pipes to form a closed system, and then cyclic cleaning is performed instead of manual operation. , and make the entire cleaning process transition to automation and program control, and the cleaning effect has a leap development compared to the past. At the same time, since people do not need to enter the container, it is easy to be sterile.

1. Design points of CIP cleaning system
(1) The volume of the CIP tank should at least meet the requirements of the 10min working flow of the cleaning pump
(2) If the CIP system needs a return pump to achieve the return circulation, the capacity of the return pump should be 20%~30% higher than that of the output pump to prevent CIP liquid from accumulating in the system.
(3) The storage tank itself should have a cleaning device and a sewage device.
(4) The storage tank should be provided with overflow and exhaust holes, and the exhaust holes should be led to the outdoors.
(5) Observation corridors shall be set up for CIP equipment group, with good ventilation and lighting conditions.
(6) Storage tanks with acids, alkalis and other corrosive media shall have obvious safety signs and emergency signs.
(7) There should be liquid level gauges, thermometers and other measuring and display instruments in the tank to monitor the operation of the CIP system.
(8) Storage tanks such as acid and alkali sterilants should be equipped with sampling valves to regularly check the concentration
(9) It is recommended to use a double seat valve to avoid the mixing of CIP fluids

2. Operation of the CIP system
(1) The cleaning agent and sterilizing agent should be checked twice a week. For occasions where the concentration fluctuates greatly during the work, the cleaning agent should be checked once a day.
(2) CIP sampling inspection items include solid content and color to assess the degree of pollution
(3) Under normal circumstances, the cleaning agent in the CIP storage tank is discharged once every 6-8 weeks
(4) Develop a regular check system to ensure the reliable operation of the measuring components of the CIP system
(5) The equipment should be inspected and maintained regularly, the scale deposited in the tank should be cleaned, the degree of corrosion should be assessed, and the safe operation should be ensured.
