Glycol Piping

The glycol piping can simply divide into two parts: main pipe for glycol and branch pipe to fermenters/bright tank.

Our standard configuration for glycol piping is PPR pipe as main pipe with PEX aluminum pipe as branch pipe.
Another one is UPVC pipe with aluminum pipe, it is preferred and normal in United States or Canada. Also the cost is little higher than PPR pipe.

Compare with each other, the connection method and fittings use is different.
As to PPR pipe, it is connected by hot melt between PPR fittings. For better to connect with fermenters/bright tank glycol port, it need to extra plating fittings. The plating fittings may change color and become dark after use few years. Though we make insulation on glycol piping and clad on this, it is not easy to notice. But for brewmasters have high demands, they do care about it. And we also frankly tell this to you all.

Then the UPVC pipe will be solution to solve this, it no need extra plating fittings. The UPVC fittings can better to connect fermenters etc, so there no problem. Besides, the UPVC is connected by special glue rather hot melt.

Do you have other ideas? We are glad to discuss with you together.
