How can I use the leveling glass to avoid vacuum during lautering
In our standard, the lauter tun without leveling glass, just considering of that if may be blocked by the mash. But it is available to add it if some brewmaster prefer. We have ever designed the special leveling hose for other customers before.
We added total two pieces of leveling hose on the lauter tun, here we made a draft picture for your reference as below..It is easily and clearly for brewmaster to check if the space under grain bed is vacuumed through these two hose 1 and 2.
The hose2 just could help to show us how much wort inside of the lauter tun, and hose1 is the main piping that will help to avoid vacuum. Considering of the hose2 is easily to be blocked by mash, so it is also available to be removed. But if so, you can also check the wort level though the manhole.
What do you think?
To be honest, if you have enough budget, we still suggest to use the Wort grant which is more professional for doing this work!
