Two methods of discharging steam from your brewery equipment

When you have communication with the beer brewery equipment supplier, one question must considered and confirmed usually: How do you manage the condensation of the steam when cooking wort?
 


There are mainly two type of steam venting method: Steam condenser and Chimney.
 
The steam condenser is popular used in micro brewery equipment within 1500L. There are several cold water spray jet inside the steam condenser for turning steam to liquid. The condensed steam then flows to drain or sometimes through a heat exchanger for recovering the heat energy. It mainly suitable for those customers who cannot discharge steam out directly, maybe considering of government limit or their neighbors etc. There is a lot of cold water being used here, that is also one reason why the chimney is more widely used in bigger brewery equipment.
 
For the beer brewery equipment exceed 1500L, chimney usually is a better option, now the hot steam could be discharged directly outside via roof. We usually supply a length of stainless steel chimney according to your building condition, but you can also prepare it from local if you prefer.
There is water channel inside of the steam outlet which will prevent the water/steam returning to kettle.
