Fermentation vessels (FVs) or simply 'fermenters' are where wort is held as yeast ferments it into beer. Fermenters are available in a variety of shapes and sizes made from different materials, the most popular of which today are stainless steel.

During wort fermentation, it’s definitely important to maintain the temperature because if the wort becomes too warm, your beer may come out tasting fruity. Probably not what you were hoping for! So temperature control is necessary for beer fermenters in order to get quality beer.

In most microbreweries, the temperature control was designed to finish beer cooling process during fermentation. That means, if the temperature is higher than needed fermentation temperature, the glycol solenoid valves will open and allow glycol flow into fermenter jacket.
Finally we can cool the temperature down and maintain at certain temperature.

But in some area, the surrounding temperature in Winter is very low, it may drop the temperature below than real needed temperature, though the fermentation tanks already well insulated. Then a glycol warm tank will help a lot. It basically has a warm tank, pump, and portable cart, control cabinet. The warm tank has heater inside, so we can heat the glycol if needed.

To rise the temperature, we can finish it by manual or automatic.
For manual type, we need to pump warm glycol into fermenter jacket when needed, it is an economic solution.
For automatic type, the design will be same with fermenter cooling, we will add another temperature control for fermenters in order to finish warm process

If you want to know more details about glycol warm solutions for your fermenters, I am at your disposal.
