Solution for brewery setup limited by electric power
Recently, we have two customers that both have limited electric power in their potential brewery building. And they really need the electric heated kettle& hot water tank. So of course that the best way is to try to increase the power that can be used in the brewery. However, when it is not possible to increase the power further, then we hope that those tips can help in a certain degree:
KWT:
For example, for a 10 HL beer equipment, The total power is around 67KW.
And this power is divided into 3 groups (3 swiches).
So you could feel free to open one switch or two switches or 3 switches according to the actual heating requirement.
For example, when you plan to get powerful heating, then you could open all the three switches to heat with full power of 67kw.
If you plan to just maintain a certain boiling level, then you could open one or two switches to heat with less power.
HLT:
Their HLT is 2500L. 2500L HLT is actually not suitable to be heated with electric heating coils.
It requires 175kw to be able to heat the water by around 1 degree per minute.
175kw is very high that here is no suitable good heating coils to support that,
besides, such high power has high requirement on the control elements of the control panel that are not easy to be found on market.
So we make 79kw for the HLT.
It is also divided into 3 swiches to have different heating powers.
When with full power (79kw), the 2500L water will be increased by around 0.4 degree per minute.
So to prepare enough hot water, you may need to heat the HLT overnight or several hours beofore mashing.
Or you could also heat only half batch of water (1200L), then the water will be increased by around 0.9 degree per minute.
Tips:
Besides, you may need to take care during operation to avoid overced:
1) Heat the KWT and HLT in different time.
2) During the brewing, when you estimate that the running power is going to overced the allowed power limitation of the building,
then choose smaller power to heat the KWT/HLT (only open one or two switches)
We are manufacture of micro beer brewing equipment in China.
Welcomed to communicate with you.
