Steam heating is preferred by many brewmaster, more and more breweries adopt steam heating, as it provides uniform heating, and temperature is easy control. It is good for producing better quality beer. Then what equipment should be included for a steam heated brewery?
Brewery Steam Generator
The steam produced by boiler, it supplies steam for brewery heating and sterilization. Based on the fuel consumption, it basically has gas and electric type. For electric type, the power consumption is relatively high, now few breweries are tend to use this type. Natural gas type is more popular in a brewery. But due to Russia-Ukraine war, energy crisis result in cost rising, some brewers are gradually prudent on this option as well.
Steam Inlet Station on brewhouse tanks
It is the steam inlet components into brewhouse jacket, calandria, heat etc.
Trap Station for brewhouse tanks
It is assembled at the steam outlet. Mainly for steam condensed water discharging for each heating unit like brewery jacket, calandria, heat exchanger, etc

Steam distributing to terminals, we can decide if use it or not according to steam using points. If there only have brewhouse tanks or keg washer use the steam, it also is OK without steam separate cylinder.
Besides, the government normally has strict regulations on steam boiler, to meet local regulations, it is better to source locally.
