When some brewers in the process of purchasing brewery equipment, they may think what surface is better for their brewery equipment. Mirror-Polished or 2B and acid passivation. You may get differenent information from suppliers and lead you difficult to make a decision.

We have been in beer equipment field for more than 20 years, we would suggest 2B finish with pickling and passivation for tank inside, believe most other suppliers will suggest this as well.
Frankly speaking, which finish we have for brewery equipment, final we need to do acid passivation for tank inside to remove the oxygenation line during welding, and shape protection film, it greatly improving sanitary level. Then it is not necessary to have mirror-polished for tank inside, as the passivation will change brewery equipment surface finally.

Of course, we can choose mirror-polished for brewhouse tank exterior suface.
In principle, the polished mirror require the requested surfaces to have the lowest possible roughness (Ra value). It is shinning and attractive. While we have to pay more attentation on tank surface, as it is easy to scratch and difficult to recover.

Now more and more brewers prefer to choose oil-brushed finish. It is easy to maintenace, and we make decoration with lights to be attractive.

So either mirror-polished or 2B passivation, we can design accordingly. But we need to consider which one is better for your brewery equipment. We provide turnkey solution on brewery equipment, if you want to know more details about the surface option, I am at your disposal anytime.
