Tiantai specially customized a 3000L/30HL lauter tun for a beer brewery in Australia. It is very old brewery established in the year 1992, the beer brewhouse unit they are using now is still the copper one built in 1961 in Germany. Finally the lauter tun retired and a stainless steel beer brewery equipment which stand for 21 century stand on stage, though it is just a separated tank.

Compared with buying a new complete beer brewery equipment, replacing a separated lauter tun seems a bigger challenge. There are too much things need to be considered in advance, the pipeline connection, the spent grain port for fitting old auger etc. It took a lot of time and effort, and luckily the ending is perfect!

I. The 3000L lauter tun finished production in Tiantai factory

II. The 3000L lauter tun arrived in Australia and after installation on site
The old copper dome head really combined very well with the new body, as well as the spent grain funnel!

Look forward the new latuer tun’s first brew on site!
