How to maintain beer equipment?

We all know that there will be wear and tear no matter what after using for a long time. People usually take some days to maintain their cars, why don’t we take time to maintain our beer brewery equipment?

Some tips for the beer equipment maintenance:
1.Better not to use the cleaning liquid or sterilization liquid with cl-
2.If the beer equipment would be Idled for long time, please totally clean the equipment before that, and close all of the valves after the water are totally drained. Before restart using the equipment after after it has been left idle for a long period of time, please totally repeat clean it.
3.The heat exchanger should be disassembled and cleaned after long time working, please do not bend, impact the plate during cleaning, and the aged rubber seal should be replaced.
4.Regularly inspection on wires of motors and pumps, the motor of agitator should be added with lubricating oil regularly. The pumps cannot be running idled or reversed, the pump seal should be replaced if with leakage.
5.Regularly inspect the grain miller if there are any sundries inside, ensure there is no loosing for each devices or belt. A frequently cleaning for roller is needed.
6.Regularly check the pressure gauge, safe valve etc of the steam heating system and ensure a smoothly working of the trap valve.
7.A powerful absorb of work should be avoid during wort lautering, that may broken the false bottom. Do not put any weight on false bottom when it is not work.
8.Keep your eyes on the caustic liquid concentration, it it is too low or with too much mess, please replace it.
9.Keeping checking on each piping valves, please do replacements in time if any leakage problems.
10.The brewhouse system should be totally cleaned after each batch of brewing, so does the brewing piping, heat exchanger and wort hose etc.
11.The brewhouse piping, cooling piping or exhaust piping etc are prohibition of climbing.
12.Please ensure it is under outage when you do inspection or fixing works for the beer equipment.
