Auto wort cooling station of the beer brewery equipment

During craft beer brewing process, the wort cooling is one of the most important step, which makes wort in suitable temperature for yeast fermentation. So in bigger beer brewery equipment, the auto wort cooling station is also an essential part for saving both of brewing time and labour.
For single stage heat exchanger:
Now the wort usually cooled by cold water from cold liquor tank. It is available to have one temperature transmitter on wort outlet of exchanger, which could help to command the VFD of cold water pump according to wort outlet temperature. It should be the easiest way if you have limited budget on investing your brewery equipment; Another solution is using a pneumatic angle seat valve on cold water inlet, absolutely the angle seat valve could adjust the liquid flow more accurately, but please note, there is better one more pressure transmitter between the angle seat valve and cold water pump now, if no, the cold water pump may be burnt.
For two stage heat exchanger:
Now the wort usually cooled by city water in first stage and glycol liquid in second stage. It is available to have one temperature transmitter on wort outlet of exchanger, which could help to command the VFD of wort pump according to wort outlet temperature, means making the wort flow slower if the outlet temperature is higher than fermentation temperature you need.
