The ratio of Glycol water mixture used in brewery

For the glycol,it could get Anhydrous ethylene glycol, its concentration
is usually 99%.and then According to the volume ratio of glycol and water, making
the mixture-----glycol water .Its maximum  freezing point could reach to about -18 °C. but
in the practical heating exchange,-5°C freezing point glycol water mixture has enough
cooling capacity. So ensure safety, the volume ratio of glycol and water(1:3).

I attached one photo for the Glycol water mixture ratio. It is sent
by one of our rich experience brewing customer, who purchaing the Glycol, the supplier sent
it to him.just for your reference and better understanding.

Ration of glycol and water

Usually the glycol and water is 1:2-1:3.As you know, the main glycol
cooling is used for the wort(after whirlpooling, heating exchging in heat exchanger)
stage. So for brewery cooling, glycol and water 1:3 is OK.
